Industries

Ten sectors, one way of working

Most of our work is in steel and aluminium. The engineering that makes those plants run transfers directly to any facility where heat, heavy loads and continuous production set the rules.

// Where we work

Sectors we serve

01

Iron & steel

Melt shops, secondary metallurgy and casting. This is where ARINA's process knowledge was built, and it is still the majority of what we do.

02

Secondary aluminium

Scrap arrives coated, wet and inconsistent. The plant has to make good metal out of it anyway, every shift.

03

Mining & mineral processing

Remote sites, heavy static and dynamic loads, and a plant layout that has to be settled before anything is ordered.

04

Copper & specialty metals

Copper, tin and specialty alloys, where volumes are lower and the process chemistry is less forgiving.

05

Oil & gas

Work where the piping specification, the structural design and the fire protection are one problem rather than three.

06

Water treatment

In a steel plant, water is a process fluid carrying megawatts of heat. The engineering habits that come from that apply to treatment plants too.

07

Aerospace

Aerospace suppliers run heavy forging and heat treatment. The material handling around it is the same discipline as a steel shop.

08

Railway

Rail manufacturing runs on the same industrial engineering as any heavy production plant: structures, handling, power and process.

09

Automotive

Lightweighting put aluminium at the centre of vehicle manufacturing. That is where our work in this sector sits.

10

Industrial infrastructure

Buildings, foundations and pipe racks for facilities carrying 400 tonne cranes and furnace vessels at temperature.

Depth varies by sector

Our steel and aluminium record runs to dozens of named plants. In several other sectors we have delivered specific projects rather than a long portfolio, and the sector pages say which is which. If you need a reference closer to your own case than the ones listed, ask us and we will tell you honestly whether we have one.

Your sector not listed?

The constraints usually rhyme. Describe the plant and we will tell you whether our experience actually transfers.
